Watch the Yarnspinners as they work, learn about the fastest growing women's social group in the world-the Red Hat Society,see the locally invented "Hibernating House" eco-plumbing system.Browse in the Bookroom, then enjoy some delicious food at the Market Cafe while reading a Market provided newspaper  or enjoy a latte from the Van Go Coffee Wagon as you wander around the Community Garden.

Along with all of the usual quality fresh produce, cakes, confectionery,art, crafts, babywear, jewellery,Fair Trade tea and coffee, face painting ,sausage sizzle etc there have been added some special eco-products-  the latest original design eco-fashion Reconstructed clothing; "Clean Conscience" cleaning products-created and produced in Tasmania adding to the Rotary Club of Caulfield's eco-product range and, for the discerning gardener-a very special bagged mulch.


Working Bee at Portsea Camp - District New Generations

Did you know that The Portsea Camp Working Bee/Family & Friends/Rotary Club Fellowship event is 7th - 9th October 2011?  The Portsea Camp is a program within the New Generations Avenue of Service and all D9800 clubs are invited to join the helpers and supporters on this occasion.  All meals and accommodation is provided free of charge and your attendance would be very much appreciated.  CEO Stephen Eastop would warmly welcome your enquiries and offers of assistance.

On September 24th Rotary Club of Rochester will be drawing the winner of our major raffle currently on offer from club members along with the support of fellow Clubs in District 9800.
This will be held in the Rochester Wine Tavern during the evening, where everyone is invited to come along,enjoy a Saturday night meal at the local,fellowship and perchance be the winner of a trip of a lifetime or perhaps a second or third honeymoon.

First prize being airfares to Sydney,a 12 day adventure holiday for two to Cairns,with airfare return to Melbourne.

Second prize on offer seven nights on the Gold Coast for four people.

Melbourne is the proud host of the 2011 Australian Rotaract Conference

This conference will be inspirational for all people attending with keynote speaker, the 2004 Young Australian of the Year, Hugh Evans. Hugh was the founder of the Oaktree Foundation and co-founder of the Global Poverty Project.

Other speakers include

  • Alan Turner (CEO of Zaidee's Rainbow Foundation), and speakers from the
  • Young Women's Christian Association and Cathy Freeman Foundation.

Rochester Farm and Road Safety Exhibition    

On Tuesday August 16th 2011 Rotary Club of Rochester will be conducting the annual Farm and Road Safety Exposition at the Rochester Recreation Reserve Rochester.

Now in its 12th year, the event FARSE  provides a day of educating Safety on the road,water,farm,household to numbers of schoolchildren from schools within 100km radius of Rochester.

With numbers of students attending in excess of 1000 over the day this event is considered a very worthy event in educating Safety to children

A very comprehensive Police Display along with support from all Emergency Services combined with local Business ‘s adds to the success of the day.

The event is fully open to the public at no charge, with all Rotarians and Friends fully invited to the day.

A free Barbeque Lunch adds to the spirit of the event. Open from 10.00 a most beneficial event for all ages.

Rotaract offers exactly those opportunities. An Interest Meeting for a prospective Rotaract Club at Monash University (Caulfield), hosted by the Rotary Club of Caulfield will be held at the University on 8 August.

Although the Club will be based at the Monash Caulfield Campus, membership is open not only to students and staff at all Monash Campuses, but to any person between 18-30 who is interested in the Rotaract objectives.
